Global Warming Problems - Cause, Effect and Solution

By Danny M Fisher

Article reviewed by Gold Coast Tire & Auto

Global warming problems are a direct result of the burning of fossil fuels for energy; this allows addition warming of the atmosphere compounding the global warming problems. The exhausting of carbon dioxide gases from the consumption of fossil fuels allows more absorption of heat from direct sunlight and stops the escape of heat back into space this causes the air and water to get warmer, resulting in the faster melting of snow and ice that normally reflects the sunlight back into space therefore compound the global warming problem.

Our homes are a major contributor to the global warming problems, every day we drive to work and use electricity in our home; these are the 2 main carbon producers that households contribute to global warming. We are all 100% dependent on energy for everything we do. It is not practical to expect our civilization to voluntarily return to the Stone Age but if we continue using fossil fuels as our only energy returning to the Stone Age will be an unavoidable fact. Like it or not we are already going down that path and it is happening much sooner and faster than anyone ever expected.

Relying on the big energy companies and governments is not a solution, it is called an excuse that all of us have used to avoid the fact we are all guilty of the global warming problems. We all know the reality; governments are incapable of taking a pro-active approach to anything, as a whole, governments are totally useless at setting policies for the future benefit of societies and are in fact the most inefficient spenders of our tax dollar.

Big business is interested in only money and control. How honest is big business and government? Here is an example - in 1950 the cigarette companies and governments became aware that smoking was a major cause of death and nicotine was addictive. They suppressed this information from the public and continued to aggressively marketing smoking. Governments finally started to take action in the mid-1970s by using your tax dollar to advertise the effects of smoking. After the huge amount of pressure applied by the public the government had no choice but to prosecute a cigarette company; this resulted in a conviction in the late 1990s and a huge fine. Looks good right? So all the other cigarette companies threw money into the pot, helped pay off the fine and everyone is happy and business as usual. This is only one example of many regarding the honestly and integrity of big business and governments to us the general public. No need to talk about Banks or Wall Street we all can figure this one out. Big energy companies have known for a long time the long term impacts of carbon dioxide gases. The energy industry is much bigger and by far more powerful than a small cigarette company. Do you really feel comfortable putting your trust in big business and governments?

The basic fact is the major amount of fossil fuel consumption has occurred in the past 70 years and as a direct result there are major changes happening in the environment. To continue doing this for the next 70 years it is easy to understand that the pathway to the Stone Age will be an unstoppable. We can change this, by stopping to accept the excuses that governments and big business give us and start taking independent action to reducing our own carbon footprint.

Gold Coast Tire & Auto Myths About Global Warming

3 Myths About Global Warming

By Martin Kulp

Article suggested by Gold Coast Tire & Auto

Global warming is a highly charged subject, with many claims held strongly by both sides of the debate. Are these claims accurate? Who is right?

Myth #1: There is a scientific debate about climate change.
In science, the only thing that carries weight are the studies published in the peer-reviewed journals, like Nature and Science. This IS the actual evidence. Blogs, opinions, and articles are simply that: people’s opinions. The Internet is a fountain of misinformation So what does the peer-reviewed evidence say? It’s nearly unanimous in it’s support of man-made global warming. There are very few studies that support a different mechanism. Opinion polls and surveys of scientists are meaningless; creationists use the same tactics to try to manufacture a phony controversy between evolution and creationism. This is not how science is done.

Myth #2: Scientists predicted a coming ice age in the 1970s
Climate science was still in its infancy in the 1970s, however, a look at the peer-reviewed literature shows that most scientists were predicting warming, a few were saying it was too early to tell, and only a small handful predicted cooling. A few popular media outlets picked up on the cooling predictions and, needing drama for their stories, promoted the idea that a new ice age was imminent. For the most part, scientists were predicting warming even back then.

Myth #3: Warming is happening, but its the sun
There is no research that supports the sun being the major marker of climate change in the current warming. Again, there are plenty of opinions, but very little actual research that supports it. Most research has picked up on an anthropogenic signal in the climate.

MRI Overseas Property Set Personal Development Goals

How to Set Personal Development Goals

By Ronny Daniel

Personal development is the secret for achieving peak productivity and maximum success. Your attitudes influence your behaviors, which will determine what you get out of life. Setting big personal development goals to become something greater than you currently are, is a smart way to shape your destiny. In this article I will give you a practical step by step guide on how to set personal development goals today.

In order to find the perfect goal, you need to brainstorm. This is very easy to do. Take out some sheets of paper, and a pen. I’m going to ask a simple question. What personal characteristics would you like to have if you knew there was nothing stopping you from possessing them?

Go! Write for five minutes, at the very least, and don’t censor yourself. Don’t question your capability of achieving what you want, or how you will get it, just discover what you truly want in life, as far as personal development is related.

The goal here is to find exactly what you want, so you’ll be inspired to unleash the power you hold within yourself to achieve that goal. For now, write like crazy!

If you get stuck, start asking yourself questions about personal development. What would you like to learn in your life? Are there any skills you want to master, or any character traits you want to develop? Maybe you want to become a world-famous chef, a kung fu master, or maybe possess a character trait like patience.

Do you have any fears that are holding back, that you’d like to conquer? Would you like to take a year and study different spiritual pursuits, or become a world-famous ballroom dancer? Don’t think, just write whatever comes to your mind.

After five minutes, if you still come up with ideas, keep writing. Write until you can’t think of any more ideas, and five minutes or more have passed. When you’re finished, but your pen down. It’s time to go over the list.

Most of these goals on this list should get you excited. Go through each one, and set a time line for achieving that goal. Go through every single one, and don’t worry about how you’re going to accomplish these goals. Just put a time frame on each one, to operate within.

By setting a time line, you’ll set your conscious and unconscious mind into motion to figure out how to make that goal become real.

After you set a time line for each goal, I want to go back and locate all the goals with a one-year time frame. Go through each of these, and pick the one that gives you the most amount of excitement, and will make you feel the most fulfilled if you achieved it.

Finally, take some time to write exactly why you’re absolutely dedicated to making this goal a reality in the next year. This will give you leverage to actually take the steps to achieve your goal after you’ve set it.

MRI Overseas Property Global Warming Affected Countries

Global Warming - The Countries Most Affected

By Dianne Lawson-Jeffreys

Article recommended by MRI Overseas Property

A worst case scenario scientific report predicted that we may very well be living on the South Pole in a hundred years. And even though many people find the idea too ridiculous to contemplate there are others that already feel the effects of global warming.

Some of the parts of the world already feeling the effects of climate change are;

Asia. Bangladesh and India have heavily populated low lying land. Rising sea levels and increase in rainfall due to global warming an increasing problem.

Africa. Increasing drought in an already food short continent.

Australia. Hotter conditions are fueling massive bush fires that are occurring more frequently.

Pacific and Indonesia. Recent earthquakes have caused a major disaster in Indonesia and Samoa is still mourning the after effects of a tsunami, as a result of an offshore earthquake. Rising sea levels also threaten some islands in the pacific. Predicted to be completely under water in the future are Kiribati, Tuvalu and Marshall Islands.

Europe. Yearly flooding is now the norm when snow in the alpines melts. Greece and Portugal are regularly experiencing wildfires during summer heat waves.

Latin America. The Amazon, already threatened by encroaching development is also threatened by increasingly dry weather.

North America. Hurricane Katrina is the worst experienced so far due to rising sea levels and a massive storm surge. The threat from hurricanes is now a yearly occurrence. Bush fires in California have claimed many lives and rising sea levels is also a problem.

The picture is constantly changing and the latest prediction, within the next 20 years the Arctic will be an open sea during summer. A disastrous outcome for polar bears, arctic foxes and many other animals that call the arctic home. The full effect on the rest of us still largely unknown.
